Maureen writes in the CD's liner notes: "In 1986, we [Renzi] recorded our first solo piano/voice project, "Another Woman In Love." The late Larry Kert described it as 'having a nice warm blanket wrapped around you.' Since then, my audience has been requesting another McGovern/Renzi collaboration."
This CD is dedicated to Mel Torme: "Mel Torme has always been my idol and for most of my career, my mentor. In 1981, he introduced me to his pianist, Mike Renzi - saying 'Quite Simply, he's the best!'"

The PBS special that Maureen filmed in 1997 with Tommy Tune, the Dallas Symphony Orchestra and others is now available on CD.
There are 16 tracks. Maureen is listed on 9 of them and she is in the "cast" for 3 others. The material is all Gershwin, of course, including a duet with Tommy Tune on "Let's Call the Whole Thing Off". She also does a brilliant duet with Jubilant Sykes from "Porgy & Bess". It is a "live" recording from the Dallas concert.
Ask at your local record store for this new CD featuring Maureen!!!
Maureen is also featured on the January 21, 1998 cover of "Beverly Hills [213]" with an accompanying article "A Great Musical Treasure: Maureen McGovern" as well as serving as the January 1998 cover girl of "Cabaret Scenes."
