Although I am surprised that I am the first to do so, I wish to take this opportunity to encourage Maureen's fans to invest in a copy or two of the new album "A Long and Winding Road." Some songs are more familiar than others. All songs are just delightful! Maureen does a wonderful job of paying tribute to music that was formational for her and for I'm sure, many fans. The arrangements by Jeff Harris honor the originals yet allow Maureen to put her personal touch on them. Maureen has once again used her beautiful instrument to interpret these songs in a way that breaths new life into the lyrics. Her skill with these songs allows the listener to hear them afresh and walk away with a new sense of their meaning. Because these songs date back to when Maureen first began her career, I am struck by the fact that after all these years, the voice of a young Maureen can be heard while the maturity of her years of experience allow for wonderful shading. It's been a long time since we fans were treated to a full studio album. It was worth the wait. Thank you Maureen!

Great time had by all at Queensborough yesterday. Mom's girlfrields from the AARP kept saying in the car all the way home that they could've listened for another couple of hours. You were very sweet to Mom and I at the meet-and-greet signing our "stuff". Glad I got one photo, as the one with Mom did not save...argh!! After all these years, I've also not had one photo of you and I together. I was hoping to be at Barnes & Noble today, but unfortunately, cannot get into the City. Just wanted to say loved the show, love the new album. Can totally relate to "Vatican Rag", and hope you do more Tom Lehrer in the future. Hope to see you again soon.

Hi
I've been a fan since the 80's. Hard to believe you've been singing and I've been listening for that long. I am really looking forward to your concert here in Nashville TN. I'll be attending on the 22nd. Saw you here in Little Women too. "Days of Plenty" just left me breathless. Getting the new CD in a day or so. Every time I hear "Grateful" from Works of the Heart,I can't help but think of how "grateful" I am to be listening to that incredible voice, and also knowing what an special human being has been gifted with it.
Thank you for all the hours of beautiful music.

Dear Ms. McGovern,
My partner and I had the pleasure of attending your concert with Vocal Essence in St. Paul on April 6th. We both enjoyed it tremendously.
One of Vocal Essences performers, Lori Lewis, is a friend of mine and when I mentioned we would be attending the performance she mentioned your Out of this World CD and that she could not find a copy. I promtly put together some of my favorites for her to listen to. Little did I know that she had brought them to the performance and you most graciously signed each one. She surprised me with those today and I couldn\'t have been pleased to have another wonderful memory of that show.
I\'ve been a fan since the beginning. I remember your first appearance in the Twin Cities at a hotel, the name of which escapes me at the moment. I\'ve since seen you with the Minnesota Orchestra and the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra.
My favoite song, aside from your Gershwin CD would have to be Nice to be Around. Hopefully someday we\'ll see your first three albums issued on CD, particulary Academy Award Performance.
Today I pre-ordered A Long and Winding Road, and while I love your interpretations of the Great American Songbook I can hardly wait for your return to the songs I grew up with.
Sincerely and respectfully,
Bill Peisert

I am so looking forward to seeing the Long and Winding Road concert on May 4 at Queensboro CC in Long Island, kinda near where I grew up, and very near where I went to high school. Haven\'t seen a Maureen concert since the tour with John Pizzarelli, and totally missed \"Little Women\" (though I have the cast album). I\'ve been playing \"Baby I\'m Yours\" CD to get in the mood for the new songs, plus sampled what was available on PS Classics. My 85 year old Mom and some of her AARP buddies will be with me. It is their first Maureen show, but know your material very well. I hope there is a meet and greet or a way to say \"hello\" after show. A long-distance friend of mine named Bruce Kotzky did your in-store at Border\'s in Vegas for \"I Wanna Learn To Fly\". You will be singing in his old neighborhood. We haven\'t been in touch for years.

We attended your concert this evening in Irving and so enjoyed the concert. I was hoping for an evening of Rogers and Hart, Gershwin, Cole Porter, etc. but was not too disappointed with your song selections. You are very entertaining, have an easy rapport with the audience and obviously everyone there is a hugh fan. We look forward to your concert in November.

I have been a fan of Maureen McGovern\'s since \"Can You Read My Mind\" was released for the Superman movie. I have always loved that song. I can recognize her voice whenever I hear it. Last night I watched an old movie with George Segal & Natalie Wood. There was a song from that movie called \"We Could Have It All\" that was so beautiful. I have searched all her albums and cannot find it. Would you be willing to let me know where I can find that song? For the record, Maureen McGovern and Barbara Streisand are my two favorite female artists of all time. Thanks.

I have participated throughout my life in school choirs, church choir and worship team, community theater, and as a soloist for weddings. I was recently diagnosed with bulbar ALS and as I went through all the information from MDA, I was reminded that you are a spokesperson for that organization. My all-time fave Maureen song is "Different Worlds." I am 40 years old and a "child" of the 70's, what can I say. Of course, I love "Can You Read My Mind," and "The Morning After." However, my all-time fave MM CD is "Another Woman in Love." A Billboard Top-Ten Jazz Smash I should say. I was 20 years old and studying voice and theater at Delgado Community College in New Orleans, Louisiana and impressing the entire Music Department when I would play this very loudly and very proudly, being an African-American young man. Great music transcends, Praise God. Have a great show here in NYC.

Hi Maureen,
My daughter, Tricia Dudley, directed me to your website.
I'd like to share something very special with you that, I would guess, no one else has done. Thirty-five years ago, on December 23, 2002, I was very pregnant with my daughter Tricia. My husband and I went shopping in a mall, and I waddled around all day as we did our shopping. Late in the afternoon, we went to see The Poseidon Adventure at a theater there in the mall. When I heard The Morning After, I was just blown away-it is such a beautiful song! It rang in my ears all the next day, December 24. Tricia was born the next morning, Christmas Day, at 7:58 a.m. The Morning After has always been Tricia\'s and my song, and it is very special to us.
Tricia has grown into a lovely young woman, a dedicated Christian, and is currently pursuing a degree in Wildlife Biology and Management.
Thank you very much for your career in music, and especially The Morning After. Peggy Dudley

At the holidays we think back on those we have loved and those we love and sadly, even those we've lost. I'm sitting here writing and listening to, what else: \"The Maureen McGovern Christmas Album\"! I have had it since it first came out and it is one of my holiday favorite albums,up there with The Carpenters, Johnny Mathis and Anne Murray. We have met... the last time was in your dressing room after your Milwaukee performance of \"Little Women.\" (I gave you a green WI. bear and my partner of 25 years, Wayne, took our picture which I have enlarged and framed and hanging in our den so I can see you every day and wish you a good night each evening.) True!!! As stated in other articles, I too was touched immensely by \"The Morning After\". What a treat when you re-did it on your latest CD: \"Works of the Heart\". It got me through the rough teenage years being gay and coming out and a family with depression and anger issues. Your song, and I do mean YOUR song, spoke to me and litteraly probably saved my life when I was 16... I am now 48 and as said earlier, I have been with my partner Wayne for the past 25 years! I have been chronically ill with CFIDS and Fibromyalgia for more than 15 years... but I am coping and take things \"one morning after\" at a time.
We met before that at a CD signing at Barnes and Noble (where I presented you with a Godiva bear and chocolates) and before that at your first Christmas concert... I\'m the one who gave you the rose and you started to sing the wrong song you were so flustered... I think you are an amazing singer and always have. I watch you on the telethons each year and have (I think) just about anything you ever recorded including \"The Envelope Please...\". I wish you the happiest of holidays and always more laughter
tears. Have a wonderful 2008 and maybe, if you pass this way again- I\'ll find another way to say "hello" and how much you have meant and continue to mean so much to me!

I just had the great privilege of seeing you in Charlotte at the McGlohan on November 8th. You are not only a wonderful talent but have become a truly masterful artist. You have one of the most beautiful voices on the planet with phenomenal facility, impecable musical ability AND you know what you are singing about. I heard lyrics that I have heard many times as if they were brand new.
Way back in the summer of 1981 I worked with you very briefly, in fact, I think it was one afternoon reading the part of \"Captain Von Trapp\" during a rehearsal at Pittsburgh CLO (before the real guy showed up). I was just in the chorus that summer. A year or so later Jim Wilhelm (who used to be my agent) took me to see you sing at a club on the upper east side. You were wonderful then but what a joy to see a soul and talent become even more beautiful with time. The experience on the 8th was truly inspiring.
I am now an architect working in Charlotte and from time to time I am invited to NYC to sing (I had a modest career as an actor and singer with appearances at the Ballroom, Algonquin (w/ Andrea Marcovicci), Don\'t Tell Mama, 92nd Street Y, and Town Hall plus rather long hauls in CATS and Les Mis (among others).
I felt so lucky that I happened to catch your performance here. I will plan to come to NYC to the Metropolitan Room in February.
All the very best,

Back in the eighties I worked on Ft. Bragg running The Music Center and was associated with a number of volunteers for the MDA.As a result I happened upon your performance of one of the Gershwin pieces (I think). It stopped me dead from whatever I was doing and when it was noted that \"the Voice\" I heard was yours I immediately went to the store and bought \"Naughty Baby\", \"Baby, I\'m Yours\" and \"State of the Heart\". I am now on my 4th copy of \"Naughty Baby\" because I played 2 of them to death and gave away my third copy. All of my first copies were on tape...now on CD except my original of \"Baby, I\'m Yours\". You toured with Mel Torme shortly after that and I got 3rd row seats in Pembroke, NC and it was amazing.Since then I have become a full time voice teacher/actress/director and have had the priviledge of teaching Evan Rachel Wood ( when she was younger), Frankie Muniz (when he was younger) and Clay Aiken. Clay and I have always been good friends since my teaching days in public school where I first heard him. He honored me in 2005 by writing a script for his Christmas Tour where I was the leading lady and sang a duet with him. I teach in Raleigh, NC (for the past 15 years) and have followed your voice, having gotten \"The Muisc Never Ends\" ( now on my 5th copy because I gave it away and one stays in my studio and one in my car at ALL times.)I can\'t tell you the number of times I have played your Cds for students to give them a perfect example of control, technique, clarity of tone, diction and interpretation!!! If I wasn\'t a starving artist I would LOVE (and have contemplated it a lot!) to have you do a master class for my students, but alas I don\'t think I could afford it. You will be performing in Sanford, NC this coming week and I\'m dying to be there and meet you.(I sound like a silly teenage fan...)I live in Sanford and commute to Raleigh every day where my studio is located. Is there the slightest chance of any sheet music available for ANY of your arrangements? They are divine and kudos to your arranger, sheer genius! I have performed your arrangement (sort of) of \"The Way We Were/Where Do You Start\" in a concert I did here in Raleigh. My accompanist is really good and transcribed what he could, so it worked ok. I\'m really just rambling trying to let you know how much I love and admire your voice(I sound like everyone else on this guest book)and your dedication to helping people through your marvelous gift. Thank-you for sharing it in all ways.

Loved your performance last night in Port Washington. We share a love of Yorkies...we have two. Your a cappella (sp?) rendition of \"Over the Rainbow\" was special. One correction...you are one month younger than my wife. You are both...sorry to say...in your 59th year...not 58th. Doesn\'t make either of you a bad person. You do have one spectacular voice. Dear Miss McGovern- I am currently working with Peggy Taphorn in NC and am thrilled that you will be coming to the Temple Theatre in November. How generous of you! I will be auditioning in NYC next week for the Little Women tour and since I am a MATURE (ahem!) performer, I hope to be considered for Marmee. I will hold your brilliant performance of \"Days of Plenty\" in my heart, as I know it will inspire me. Thank you for continuing to share your gifts-I hope YOUR music never ends.....Best wishes always,

Congrats on 27 years of helping Jerry on the MDA telethon. YOU look and sound as marvelous as ever. I loved both songs you sang, especially \"Over the Rainbow\" A cappella. I\'ve loved Maureen\'s voice for many years, since \"Morning After\". As I get older, I like the more mellow sounding voices, and the version of \"Morning After\" on her web site is very mellow. I wonder if Maureen has ever thought of doing a cd just of the songs she\'s sung on the labor day telethon? That would be one very nice cd. I remember many years ago, she sang a song on the telethon that was about musical instruments, and her voice imitated the instrument sounds. When her voice reached the high notes of the flute, and she got a standing ovation and an encore for that song, I was in awe. I LOVE her voice, and hope she sees this message, and seriously considers that cd of her telethon songs.

Maureen, I heard you in person when you were here with Mel Torme, and then again 3 summers again when I was in New York City for the birth of a granddaughter. I have always loved your voice and your music, but last Sunday while returning from Kansas City I played Works of Heart and absolutely bawled my head off. My daughter sang On My Way To You at her wedding, and your rendition is absolutely heart tugging and gorgeous, even though hers was quite beautiful. The whole album is wonderful, and even more so when I reread that the proceeds go to Music Therapy. What a voice! Continue singing forever.

Amazing, very pleasing to the ear, articulate, and oh so entertaining! That's how I would describe Maureen McGovern's performance last night at the Pike's Peak Center for the Performing Arts in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

One more of those heart on the sleeve kinda guys for your song "You Love Me Too Late". I remember you were performing this on the Seals and Croft TV show when I was a teenager. I remember telling my family "shut up I wanna hear this". I had to leave the room when it was over, I was moved to tears from such a painfully haunting song. I never did find it and just found out, as of this writing, it was a "B" side. It really is one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard and after only hearing it once 30 years ago it has been in memory ever since. If you could ever release it there would be some eternally grateful fans! Best wishes and much success.

Being star-struck I didn't say what I would have wanted....that you are an inspiration in many ways. When asked to sing at a wedding recently, I surprised myself by saying yes. Maureen - Welcome Home! Akron and the Greater Cleveland area have always claimed you as our own... despite you being from a bit East of here.... Looking forward to the concert tomorrow night in Akron. Question... Did you see "Superman Returns" and if so, any special feelings given that so much has happened since the movies began? The "franchise" somehow survives... despite the tragic loss of Christopher Reeve, we've seen Lois & Clark, Smallville, and now another chapter of the movie. During the opening credits I couldn't help but hear your beautiful voice singing "Can You Read My Mind"... In a world of negativity and "what have you done for me lately"... I like to remind people that this entertainment phenomenon came from the creative minds of two young men from Cleveland, Ohio. Despite the fact they are credited in the performances, the people here don't rejoice enough for the incredible gift given by Mr. Siegel and Mr. Shuster. Any thoughts from your perspective? Please keep up all your humanitarian efforts, and thank you for your talents and generous heart...

One of our local radio stations came up with a wonderful rendition of "Amazing Grace". Unfortunately, they had lost all information on that precise performance and put out an S.O.S to all listeners to find (by ear mind you) who was the singer of that rendition. It took a few weeks but finally someone did come up with the right answer "Maureen McGovern". Not only does our english speking community enjoy the richness of your voice, but many of our french speaking community did their utmost best in helping all to find the answer. Thank you so much, not just for being such a professional singer, but by being a real inspiration to many of us.

I just returned from your appearance at Wolf Trap. It was really one of the finest performances I have ever heard. "Over the Rainbow" was truly fantastic. Favorites? Hard to single anything out but do enjoy theme from "The Promise" and the entire Gershwin CD. I suppose I have been a fan since "The Morning After," but really enjoyed your appearances on "The Tonight Show." I remember one where you wore this white jumpsuit--sang a scat song with Doc and then sang "The Theme from the Promise." Of course I may not be remembering it correctly as I was watching it on a B/W TV in the middle of Appalachia. Also, "I Could Have Been a Sailor" with you sitting on a stool and Mike Renizi playing. I love your Cincinnati Pops appearances and had the fortunate to meet you after one of those.

It was a cold and snowy day in Baltimore, but there was a lot of warmth in Myerhoff Hall that day. Thanks again for a wonderful treat.

I've been a fan since the days when Maureen sang "The Morning After". But I never really listened closely and became a groupie until about ten years ago when someone gave me a copy of "Another Woman In Love". Her voice and her choice of material had really matured and she was now one of the finest voices around. But I never had a chance to see her live until last week at the Kennedy Center. She performed an all Richard Rogers show with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra. The occasion was a birthday present for a friend and we had front row center seats. She made each and every song her own, but the real treat was when she performed seveal songs acappello. She sang "My Funny Vaentine" without musical accompanyment and without amplification. Strathmore Hall has fantastic acoustics but you could literally hear a pin drop and the performance gave me chills. Just amazing. There is a reason that most performers would not have the courage or stupidity to try something similar--they are just not in her league. Thank you, Maureen for a truely memorable evening. Now I bought a ticket to see you again in a few weeks at the Barns at Wolftrap. There will be no orchestra this time and I'm expecting another unforgettable performance.

after all these years as a musician and jazz fan, I can't believe that I've never listened to you... until today. 'naughty baby' just floored me - all those years wasted. only Ireland could produce the finest artist of the voice I've ever heard. (jay leonhard on bass was great, too) can't get 'by strauss' out of my head.

Hey Maureen, I'm trying to figure out if I worked with you years back. Did you ever work at the Waltham Reagle Players in Boston playing Marian in Music Man? This would be around '94, '95. Drop me a line if you have a chance. I would love to know if it was you I, indeed, worked with. Thanks,

Dear Maureen,
I just had to write to you first of all to say you've got the voice of an angel. I put through a hard New Year's Day, as a cloistered darling nun whom I've known since I was 4 yrs old passed away. While grieving and feeling so lost and alone, I turned on the TV set to a station I don't even remember and here you were singing "Days of Plenty" and also Amazing Grace. It seemed as if you were talking to my soul and shortly after your songs were through, the Mother Superior called me to see if I was doing all right and I told her about you and what had happened. She said that she thought it was a way of connecting to Sister Theresa and she was so happy that I saw and heard you. Ever since this happened I have been reading more about you and when I saw the picture of you singing to the Boxer and also your love of animals, I felt as if I was totally connected to you, plus your compassion for people. I truly admire you so much and I hope that some day you will come to Beaverton or Portland Oregon. I would even cook you up your favorite meal if you came to my little apt. to visit me and my little West Highland Terrier. What a dream that would be!!! I'm so glad too that I have the opportunity to tell you this story, as I seemed to feel close to you just hearing your voice and naturally learning more about your life.
God Bless you for all you do. I bought some of your CD's and plan to buy more. You are an unusual performer, as you truly give your heart to so many. Thank you for easing the pain when I was hurting so the other night. You were a gift from Heaven!
Stay well and I hope that I can see you on TV again or that you will perform in Portland Oregon.
Love and Prayers to a special woman,

I just got my 'Maureen CD collection' nearly caught up after putting it off for too many years. Heard WITH A SONG IN MY HEART for the first time two days ago and it was worth the purchase price for your singing of "Hello Young Lovers" alone. The be all and end all interpretation, hands down. My husband and I had the privilege of seeing you at a concert in South Park (PGH) a few years ago and it is one of the special memories of my life. Any chance you'll be recording a DVD of a concert sometime?

Hi Miss McGovern,
We had the extreme pleasure of hearing your concert in Palm Beach on Nov 17 - I published the following on our blog http://donandbe1.blogspot.com
Hope you enjoy ...... Don
Shortly after we moved into our home in 1984, I was blessed with a case of insomnia (just like right now) and began surfing the channels. I came upon the annual Jerry Lewis Telethon and heard the most remarkable singing I'd ever heard. This gorgeous woman, with a voice like light in crystal, was singing an incredible jazz arrangement of "Tiptoe Trough the Tulips" and my ears couldn't believe themselves. The next morning I told Be about my discovery - "....and do you know who she was? I'll give you a hint .... (singing) ..... there's got to be a morning after, if we can hold on through the night ...... Maureen McGovern! The gal who sang the Poseidon Adventure song!" At the time, I was singing with an acapella group at Disney, so I was way into exploring new singers amd expanding my CD collection with fine music.
This past Friday, we had the opportunity to hear this outstanding talent accompanied by piano, bass, drums and pops orchestra . We sat transfixed as she worked through Gershwin, Rogers, Hart, Hammerstein & Arlen, her multi-octave range in amazing form. At one point, she began scatting with one of the sax players, singing at lightening speed, duplicating and harmonizing, making my jaw drop into my lap. I listened closely, and she hit every note pitch perfect. I even got verclempt several times during the 90 minute set - especially as she interpreted "Over the Rainbow". Miss McGovern began the song on mic, stood up from her stool, held the mic behind her back, walked to the front of the stage and filled the auditorium with pure music - acapella! No sound reinforcement! The woman was in control no doubt!
We were rehearsing the music for our church's christmas cantata on the way home (a 2 hour drive to Palm Beach) and had to laugh at ourselves as we sounded like geese in comparison. We will hear Maureen McGovern again next month, but alas, she won't be singing - she is the narrator for 3 nights at the "Christmas Candlelight Processional" at Disney's EPCOT Center. We'll reflect back on last Friday's concert and imagine her singing the script .....

Hello Ms. McGovern!
My name is Liz Rubino, and I am a performer from Youngstown, but currently working in Equity theater in Cleveland. I have been studying with Jeffrey Saver (MD "Chicago"-Broadway), for the last few months, and plan to get into the audition scene in NYC after my degree. I am 26. It is sometimes a rare occasion, that we become inspired in our lives so deeply, and following your career has been one of those times. I had a coach say to me once, Liz, if you feel so connected to what another performer is doing, you should strive to follow in their footsteps. I have always remembered that advice. I wanted to thank you for being an incredible role model, and I think you are absolutely stunning. My website, www.lizrubino.com has some info about me, and also some media clips from a recent demo. I would love your advice-shoudl you find yourself bored-HA! I am currently in the process of recording a earl jazz/broadway/torch song album that I hope to be finished with by February 07. You have inspired a great deal of that. My best to you always, and again, thank you for being everything a person can look up to. Musically yours,
Liz Rubino

Quite some time ago, I remember watching a movie (I wish I could remember the title of it!) and at the end, during the credits, you were singing a song which I'm sure was titled "We Could Have Had It All". I am a very big fan of yours and have several of your CD's. However, I have never found this song on any of your CD's. And, in serching the internet, I cannot find any record of it sung by you or any other artist. If you could assist me in my quest, I would be very grateful!

I realise you have little connection with the UK. I bought your Academy Award long player many years ago. I did like The McGovern Sisters -Lullaby of Broadway - Sixties Magic. Whilst I thought you were quite attractive back in the Sixties the transformation to the beautiful woman portrayed in your photos is amazing. You are in the Maureen O'Hara class for looks. Or is she in the Maureen McGovern league? There is a great Irish singer called Mary Black who would grace your concerts. Having read your guest book entries I wonder how you treat such adulation. Maureen, I first saw you in Little Women at the Aronoff in Cinci last weekend. I didn't know who you were before then, but once i heard you sing "Here Alone" i fell in love. I am an Mezzo Alto and i have been taking voice lessons for the past 4 or 5 years. And i just don't hear a lot of alto voices in today's brodway and famous singers. I love your voice and i am now getting one of your cds. But your songs "Here Alone" and especially "Days of Plenty" have given me two wonderful songs in my range to sing for auditions and just for pure enjoyment. You have relit the fire within me and i am now more confident as ever before to not lose hope and to keep my dream of becoming a singer a live. Thank you!!

You are my favorite singer I think and have been for some time. I am singer...I have an original (religious) and a cd of standards on amazon and cdbaby. I am therapist by day. You use your God given gift so very well...my favorite is the Bergman cd The Music Never Ends....and your Interpretation of Weil's My Ship is inspiring. You and Rosemary Clooney were about the only famous people I ever thought I 'd like to meet...could be because you have such irish names and faces I guess I thought you' d be not that affected...I missed Rosemary I am afraid...but she is with all of us in spirit and music. Be well. Thank you for the music.Margaret Fennell Flynn of Troy New York

Saw you yesterday when you came in my work to tour the 6th floor museum, I was the guy who gave and returned the audio to. I am also one of ur biggest fans in Dallas, I see you everytime you are in town almost, have all ur albums, cds, everything from you under the sun, was going to introduce myself but we have a thing at the museum we can't approach celebrities and hound them for autographs etc .. even you are as gracious to your adoring fans .. you were simply divine and to end the day, I used my season ticket at the summer musicals to see your performance as Marme in Little women .. u were perfectly suited for that and of course, your chemistry with the four sisters was indeed right on and the solos you sang were just great ... days of plenty should be a classic :)
its still too bad we never got to meet after all these years because i chatted with you once when you did an oniline chat thing when re released music never ends and a friend from kcmo gave me my first ever cd which was ur xmas one and had you sign it many moons ago when you were there for a concert. thanks again for spreading your voice to so many fans all over the world and making my day yesterday.

Dear Maureen,
I've been a fan since your first single, and just recently bought your Bergman CD. It's fabulous! Your version of "Ordinary Miracles", always a favorite, is just inspiring.
For the past three years, we've given a CD as a Holiday gift to our customers. The first year was "Keely Sings Sinatra", Keely Smith's superb CD. In each of the last two years, we gave a Tierney Sutton CD, and gave Miss Sutton a list of customer names. She was kind enough to sign each CD.
This year, I'd like to give your Bergman CD (The Music Never Ends). We would buy about 180 - writer's cramp for sure - but I'm hoping you'll be gracious enough to sign them. The cover letter that I send with each CD talks about why we chose that CD, the artist, and upcoming appearances.
You would sign each one. "To NAME", and then your signature.
If you are interested working with us, please contact me by email or phone. I'd really like our customers to experience this great CD.I'm estimating the total number of CDs we would purchase at 180-200.
Warmest regards,

Maureen,
Thank you so much for signing autographs for my daughter and neice in Birmingham on Saturday. My daughter was excited about telling her teacher where she went. As I told you on Saturday, you have an amazing voice. You could sing Happy Birthday and it would sound amazing. I just wanted to share with you that I came to the show on Friday night with my husband and we both were impressed by you and the rest of the cast as well. However, I must say that I came to the show with a heavy heart. I lost my father to cancer in July of 2005 and this past Sunday he would have been 55 years old. I have found that in the last 9 months that it is always when I least expect it that something or someone comes along to give me new perspective when I am having an emotional day. When I heard you sing "Days of Plenty", I was overcome, but not just by your amazing voice. Those words made me realize, again, that even though my father is not here physically, he is and will always be with me. Thank you for singing such a beautiful song.

Dear Maureen,
I am excited to write as we have just received our 4 tickets to Little Women at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta, GA on Tuesday, March 28th.
My question for you is in regard to my 10 1/2 year old daughter (the oldest of three girls). SaraBeth is about to hand in her 5th grade research paper on the 31st. As you might have guessed, she chose Louisa May Alcott. She has worked extremely hard and seeing the production of Little Women is her reward for doing a great job as well as the celebration of her birthday.
I was wondering if it would be possible to obtain back stage passes either before or after the show. I understand you may have restrictions. I just thought I would try. Sara will be 11 on May 9th. This is both a celebration of the completion of a very difficult research paper as well as her birthday present. I just couldn't let this pass without at least trying.
Thank you for your consideration! I enjoyed "listening" to your web page:)

Dear Ms. McGovern, I am the daughter of Mary Vecchione--a classmate of yours from Boardman High. When my sister and I discovered that you are scheduled to star in "Little Women, The Musical" at the Kennedy Center this summer, we immediately bought tickets as a surpise Mother's Day gift for our Mom. I am writing to see if there is any way that we could chat with you for a few minutes either before or after the show? My Mom would get a huge kick out of seeing you. I know you're extremely busy, but if you get a free moment, drop me an email and perhaps we can coordinate something. Thanks!

Been a fan since I was a kid in the 70's. Was too young to buy a copy "The Morning After" which was a favorite but was able to get "Different Worlds" and played it 'till the grooves in the vinyl wore out. Incredible Voice!
Guess I should mention that there are some very flattering comments made about you in Helen Reddy's new book that reminded me to look you up. Glad I discovered you again!

I have been a fan since the release of "Morning After". Shortly after its release I was booked on a 1000 Islands boat cruise and that was the first song we played as we left the dock. My apologies for the inadequate rendition.
Of course, I have several albums and it is impossible to pick a favotite but "Another Woman In Love" seems to get the most play. "I Could Have Been a Sailor" is the highlight for me. The simplicity and purity of one voice and one piano makes for marvellous listening. I was enraptured by the similar performance in the PBS special from Wolf Trap. Both the performance and the performer were gorgeous.
Another highlight was getting to see you perform at the National Arts Centre in Ottawa. A magical night to be sure which I hope will be repeated at some time. I will keep checking itineraries and hopefully I will get a chance to see you perform live again soon.
I note that many reviewers and fellow artists try to compare your voice to others such as "Julie Andrews in her prime" and Yma Sumac among others. I am afraid they are wrong. With deference to Ms. Andrews who is also a favorite of mine, I know of no other such instrument, female or male. You have heard this before, I am sure, but I just wanted to add my voice to your many admirers.

Dear Maureen, I must say that I really don't have a favorite song because I find myself mesmerized with every song you sing. You have an amazing talent. I also love the charity work you do with music becuase I have such a passion for music and the effect it has on people and the amazing things it can do as far as healing and bringing out the best in people. I had the opportunity to see Little Women in Salt Lake and fell in love with the musical right at the begining. I wish I had taken the opportunity to tell you what a great show it was, but to be completely honest, I froze when you walked right by me and I didn't realize I could get so star struck but I did. And only because I look up to you so much as a person and a performer. To me, you can just feel what an incredible spirit you have and such a class that no one can compare to. I hope that one day, if I ever make it to the Great White Way as a performer that I can even be half the person you are. Thank you so much for all you do and the great example you set for people everywhere.
Sincerely,

Dear Maureen,
It was over 20 years ago that I arrived home late at night from a social. As I prepared for bed I turned on the TV to see the closing of a movie called "The Yearling." As I heard your beautiful voice singing "Halfway Home" I was absolutely captivated by your voice and the words of the song. Fortunately, a few days later the movie appeared once again. I taped the movie praying that the music during the credits would record in it's entirety. It did and in fact, I held onto that tape
