What stations did you grow up listening to? WHOT, WBBW, WBZ, and WCFL.

Of today's contemporary singers, whose music intrigues you? Joni Mitchell, Sting, Annie Lennox ... three classic artists whose musical journey and artistry are always fascinating for me to follow. They make bold artistic choices and have been blessed by a public-at-large that adores their work, myself included.

What's one of your favorite tracks on just-released Richard Rodgers' CD? "It Never Entered My Mind." Larry Hart was a masterful lyricist–especially In dealing with painfully ironic matters of the heart. In this song, Rodgers & Hart have crafted an entire one-act play.

Who would you still like to work with someday? I've sung with Mel Tormé, Sting, and Placido Domingo ... it hardly gets better than that!

Best career moments: My Broadway debut in The Pirates of Penzance. My Carnegie Hall "solo" debut, Playing "Mrs. Anna" in the recent Broadway national tour of The King & I, and being nominated for a Grammy in 1999 for my solo piano/voice CD The Pleasure of His Company, which I also produced, where I was accompanied by Mike Renzi on piano.

Current credits: McGovern is guest vocalist on a new CD that features conductor Skitch Henderson and the New York Pops, With a Song In My Heart,- The Great Songs of Richard Rodgers (Readers' Digest), She is also
