Letters from 'Nam, by Emmy Award-Winning director Paris Barclay (NYPD Blue, The West Wing & E.R.) had its world premiere at the North Shore Music Theater. This touching, revealing and at times, surprisingly humorous musical features Maureen as Eleanor Bridges, the mother of Billy, one of our soldiers.
Based on the book Dear America: Letters Home from Vietnam, this uplifting show takes a look at one year in the lives of six soldiers as told through the actual letters they exchanged with family and loved ones. It's a powerful work that has left audiences with a deeper understanding of men who serve our country.
"The emotional power and beauty of her performance tells you everything you need to know about this Godsend (Maureen) she is much more than a voice, she is a blessing to all of us who have worked so hard to make Letters from 'Nam, a reality."
Paris Barclay
Author and Composer of Letters from Nam
